According to prevalence estimates, one in eight children aged 2-9 years living in India may have at least one neuro-developmental disorder, such as hearing-impairment, autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD and learning disability. Studies also suggest that approximately 13 per cent of the entire population may be suffering from some kind of mental health disorders, 10 per cent with minor ailments like anxiety stress, etc while the remaining with serious disorders.
