Why Are We Here?
We started mom’s belief to improve the lives of those affected by neurodevelopmental disorders. As a special needs child grows up, the child’s parents and siblings are the constants in his or her life. Therapists, teachers and doctors come and go, but family members are always there.
However, family members are often left without the tools and guidance they need to support their special needs child. We created mom’s belief as a way to correct that. We know that parents can have an enormous impact on their child’s development if given the right tools and support. We’ve witnessed it ourselves. And it’s been proved by research.
We are here to empower parents with resources, training, and ongoing mentoring, so they can promote their child’s skills and advance their child’s development.
What We Believe
At mom’s belief, we are guided by:
Our outlook is positive and it’s unwavering. We believe in the power of a positive attitude. We are positive about a parent’s capacity to meet the needs of his or her child.
We see potential in every child, without exception. Every child has unique strengths, and once those strengths are identified and encouraged, you’ll be amazed at what can be accomplished.
We promise to act with honesty, integrity and an undying belief in your capacity to support the child in your care. We promise to be there for you.
